  China First's dishes are affordable and I've ordered from them on DoorDash multiple times in the past month. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are pretty crispy and delicious on the reg.
  
  Today, we ordered calamari instead of the chicken wings and they showed up salt and pepper, crispy and delicately fried. I wish I had some marinara sauce on hand to dip!
  
  I've also ordered the eggs with radish, which I was hopeful would be like the homestyle Taiwanese dish, but this dish was definitely made with someone with a Cantonese cooking background. Since Taiwanese food is so limited, I'll take what I can get.
  
  I also like their Peking pork, their chicken with snap peas and two mushrooms are delicious.

  This is funny, Yelp HQ just notified me that my rating was remove because it "address culturally sensitive subjects in ways that reinforce negative stereotypes." I commented this restaurant was too Americanized (WT), therefore I'll do it the proper way.
  
  This is one of Americanized Chinese restaurant! They put fermenting black bean in everything they've cooked including my flavorless and uncooked catfish. Did I mention bad service too? I was quite surprised to see this place could stay in business in SF.

  The worst experience I've had a restaurant in Richmond district, which usually has decent food. I ordered tomato and beef dish and they put KETCHUP as the base of sauce for the dish.
  I asked waiter to send this back and he proceeded to argue with me about this being an an American style restaurant and even belittle me.
  
  What kind of restaurant puts ketchup as base for their dish sauce?

  Word of advice: never go to a place because it is simply the closest spot.  Now, this place wasn't bad; I didn't regret my meal at all.  But I'm the type that lives to eat (and not the other way around).  
  
  The unassuming place has all the bangers you want your local Chinese spot to have.  I went with the lunch combo because who the heck wants to eat an entree portion of anything.  Actually, I do.  But I need to show some restraint.  
  
  The two soup options that usually accompany a typical lunch combo are hot and sour or egg drop soup.  This place had neither.  It was this strange seaweed soup that tasted like the sea but not in the wonderful, umami way.  Not a great first impression.  
  
  The pork chops did redeem the experience, as it was nice and tender whilst crispy at the same time.  I'm not mad at it.  
  
  The only thing about my experience was that I was seated at the large round table...all by myself.  It had looked like I was planning on having lunch with a bunch of my friends, only to be stood up.  
  
  The place was decent.  Some days, decent is enough.  Other days, decent makes the heart grow fonder of better food.

  This restaurant has it all: warm beer, inattentive  poorly-timed service and filthy bathrooms. The only thing it doesn't have, is flavor. If you like white slimy noodles in oil, cheap meat cooked without ginger, garlic or seasoning, this is your spot!
